KFC Implements own data transport link.
Kentucky Fried Chicken, fast food restaurant franchise specialized in fried chicken, sandwiches and other products, it has more than 22,000 establishments in 150 countries and in Venezuela it has 25 stores nationwide.
Problem
KFC's administrative offices are located in Caracas, and its distribution and manufacturing plant is located in Mampote. These locations were disconnected, generating an operational and logistical problem, significantly impacting the organization's costs, since:
- There was a need to send staff daily to the plant.
- It was necessary to pay for transportation and food.
Solution
KFC, with the support of SOFTELiNET, advanced in the implementation of its own radio link routes to connect the two locations and transmit information from the plant to its main offices.
The project consisted of the creation of access nodes in different places, through the Caracas-Guarenas highway, thus generating a trunk route.
Results
KFC has a link that allows you to access the information on the servers and applications of the main headquarters, thus allowing you to:
- Exponentially reduce logistics costs.
- Avoid moving staff daily.
- Guarantee the safety of its collaborators by keeping them in the since then.
